We have an exciting full time opportunity available for a Project Manager who will join a fast-paced, boutique cybersecurity firm. This role requires managing multiple client projects simultaneously, each with unique needs and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Location: Charleston, SC or Remote (Domestic and International Travel Required)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, delivery, and tracking of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) from contract execution through customer acceptance.
- Assign and manage resources, costs, and deadlines for the successful execution of parallel projects across multiple clients.
- Track and manage activities, deliverables, and milestones to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Develop, document, and deliver customer onboarding and support processes, ensuring a smooth transition and consistent communication.
- Create and implement internal policies, processes, and procedures to improve project management efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure all project needs are met.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements:
- The role is highly client-facing, with responsibilities that include project scoping, kickoff meetings, and ongoing project management.
- Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in project management, preferably within the technology or cybersecurity sector.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and willing to submit to federal, state, and local background checks.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing cybersecurity-related projects.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity services and concepts, including red teaming, penetration testing, risk analysis, vulnerability management, and configuration management (CM).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CISSP, Security+, or similar.
- Ability to pivot between multiple clients and projects quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from executives to engineers.
- Uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and business ethics.
- Understand and empathize with client business missions and critical workflows.
- Develop and manage client requirements with attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with Jira and other issue tracking software.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Scrum, and software management processes.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, Scrum Master, Waterfall) are highly desirable.
Work Style:
- Must be a self-starter, accountable, and capable of working remotely.
- Able to manage 2-3 clients and 2-6 projects simultaneously, with unique requirements for each.
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on clear and frequent client interactions.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at conflict management.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, boutique-style environment with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in engineering or systems administration.
- Basic understanding of regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GLBA.
- Bonus for experience at security-focused companies (e.g., SynAck, HackerOne).
- Technical writing skills are a significant plus.
