Procurement Analyst – remote
The Procurement Analyst in this contract opening in Newark, NJ is responsible for processing purchase orders, supporting (4) lines of business, working on different projects. Evaluates supplier liability, utilizes CLM system to verify agreements from vendors. Uses EDI for purchase orders and Ariba and SAP for issuing PO’s.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for executing purchasing transactions for goods and / or services on behalf of internal clients.
- Purchasing non-complex, materials and services.
- Purchasing off of existing master agreements.
- Completing change orders to outline agreements and purchase orders.
- Providing reports in support of internal auditing, Sarbanes Oxley testing and internal self-assessments.
- Printing and issuing Purchase Orders.
- Completing new vendor request forms.
- Evaluating supplier viability and sustainability using Dun & Bradstreet reports.
- Following and supporting all processes around proper buying and documentation.
- Assisting clients & suppliers in resolving invoice issues - may include performing Procurement Helpdesk functions on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
- Must have some form of procurement experience OR a least 2 years’ experience in purchasing
- Familiar with terms and conditions, material management, PO, RFQ, etc.
- Must be analytical, quick learning, go getter, creative in bringing new ideas to a group, have good negotiation and communication skills
- Must work well independently in a face paced, challenging environment
- Utility background is a PLUS
- Education Requirement: College Degree will be ideal; without college degree, candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in procurement.
