Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transmission, Axle and eTransaxle Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Development:
- Responsible for testing and development related to noise in transmission, axle and electronic transaxle systems.
- Lead active noise tuning for existing vehicles.
- Contribute to the development of future active noise/vibration control technology.
- Architectural Design Studies:
- Analyze and develop key NVH metrics (e.g., gear noise) while considering implications on other system attributes.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with testing teams to ensure correlation of analytical results with physical testing.
- Develop technical reports documenting analysis and present findings to management.
- Collaborate with NVH and design engineers to achieve targets for function and cost.
- Advanced and Core Projects:
- Contribute to both advanced and core NVH projects.
- Maintenance and improvement of current NVH software products and interfaces.
Qualifications:
- Education: A relevant degree, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive, Acoustics, Technical, Education, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics.
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, especially Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with tools such as rotating electrical machines, and vibration area of acoustic measurement technology.
- Knowledge of transmissions, eMotors, electronic transaxles and power train related components
- Experience with digital signal processing techniques.
Desired Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience in Powertrain NVH development, including data acquisition, processing, analysis, interpretation, and issue resolution.
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in digital signal processing and active control.
- Self-starter capable of learning new technology and leading cross-organization teams.
