Our client has a remote contract opportunity for a Business Analyst who is responsible for working with the business to gather and document requirements for new product features and solutions.

 

**Potential to be onsite for meeting or workshop 3-4 times a year

**Candidate will work EST hours Monday thru Friday 8am -5pm 

 

Top Must haves:

  • Communication, Business focused, Analytical skills are key for this role
  • Ability to communicate with Stakeholder to C-suite level
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Business Analysis, business-facing role
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with and understanding of CRM systems, ERP systems; Customer advocacy. such as Gainsight, Salesforce, and Jira.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Team player
  • Education or Publishing market background

 

Job Description:

  • The BA is able to rapidly grasp and accurately articulate business processes, user stories, QA requirements and test scenarios.
  • They will also have a strong background in data management, including data flows, data mapping and data manipulation.
  • Experience in using standard Agile software delivery tools, such as Jira, is vital.
  • The BA acts as the curator of the product backlog and leads project stakeholders through the entire delivery process, from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • The BA is the bridge between the business and technology, working with internal and external suppliers to define solutions and acceptance criteria.
  • Managing relationships and communicating with project stakeholders at all levels
  • Leading requirements-gathering workshops with business and technology stakeholders
  • Documenting product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identifying, defining and documenting business processes
  • Documenting data flows and data maps
  • Creating and maintaining the product backlog
  • Developing QA strategies and test cases
  • Supporting QA and UAT

 

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Business Analysis, business-facing role
  • Experience of working in the Education sector
  • Stakeholder communication up to C-suite level
  • Leading stakeholder workshops
  • Managing diverse stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrable ability to translate complex technical requirements into concepts which are easily understood by non-technical business stakeholders
  • CRM Systems Analysis and Administration (ideally Salesforce)
  • Customer Success / Customer Advocacy Systems Analysis and Administration (ideally Gainsight)
  • Business requirements gathering and documentation
  • Process mapping
  • Managing product backlogs using standard tools (ideally Jira)
  • Data management
  • Data mapping
  • Data manipulation (e.g. SQL)
  • Solution design (creating user stories, wireframes and workflows)
  • Creating and executing test cases (QA and UAT)
