We need a highly motivated Production Supervisor that has great people skills to join our Columbus, Ohio client in a full time role. We expect this person to visit each production area multiple times a day and communicate any part shortages, unknown priorities, etc. to the team. They will be hands on and on their feet. We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, relatable, and firm but fair.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor production operations and ensure that maximum quality is delivered in a profitable manner.
  • Guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring and motivating employees, organizing workflows, and analyzing the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Works hands-on with Production team to manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing
    schedules.
  • Guide and coach employees, monitor their productivity.
  • Perform verification of production output according to specifications.
  • Prepare reports on performance and progress and present to senior managers.
  • Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Initiate, prepare and implement capital improvement projects.
  • Assist with onboarding and training process of new hires and employee annual reviews.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Manager, Procurement, and final assembly team.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, engineering, similar discipline, or equivalent
    experience required.
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Production Supervisor or similar position required.
  • Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, together with a result driven approach.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Ability to take ownership.
  • Proficiency with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office products and ERPs.
